Our story
Brian and his dad, Ronnie, opened R & M Garage on March 1, 2016 — working out of a trailer, driving all over DFW to repair Oncor fleet vehicles. They'd already been turning wrenches together for more than 25 years. Ronnie retired in 2023; Brian and his wife run the shop today.

What we do
From a check engine light to a full engine swap — if it rolls, we can take a look at it.

Hard starts, injector trouble, turbo and emissions issues. We work on diesel pickups every week and we don't stop at the first code.

Daily drivers, work trucks and family SUVs. The everyday repairs that keep North Texas moving.

Factory-level scan tools and a real conversation about what your vehicle is telling us — no guesswork, no parts thrown at it.

Head gaskets, timing components, full engine swaps. Done right, and done clean.

Pads, rotors and brake drums, including on-site rotor and drum resurfacing so the pedal feels right again.

A Texas summer doesn't negotiate. We'll find the leak and have the cab cold before you hit the highway.
Why folks come back
We're not the biggest shop in DFW. We're the one your neighbor tells you about.
Started by Brian and his dad Ronnie. Still run by the family today.
Brian and Ronnie have worked on vehicles together for more than a quarter century.
Including Ford Master Technician recognition and specialty training across all areas of repair.
One shop for the work truck, the family SUV and everything in between.
Years of mobile fleet service built a reputation on showing up and getting it fixed.
Straight from Google
“Brian and his guys are one of the most fair and friendly people I've met! Great garage to take your truck to. Highly recommend for any service you need. I'm really glad I found these guys and will be a forever customer.”
“Brian and the mechanics at R&M Garage in Pilot Point, TX, did an amazing job fixing my 2015 F250 diesel truck. On my initial phone call with Brian, he took the time to diagnose and explain what might be wrong with my truck.”
“Great group of guys there. Always a pleasure to do business with them.”

Fleet service
Before R & M Garage had a shop, it had a trailer. Brian and Ronnie spent those early years traveling all over DFW, repairing Oncor fleet vehicles wherever they were parked. Show up, diagnose it, get it back in service — that's still how we work.

About R & M Garage
Twenty-five years of working on vehicles together, a phone that kept ringing, and a shop built one honest repair at a time.

R & M Garage started on March 1, 2016 — but the story starts a lot earlier than that. Brian has been working as a mechanic since trade school. He and his dad, Ronnie, worked on vehicles side by side for more than 25 years: weekends, evenings, and any other hours a job happened to take.
When it was time to hang out their own sign, they didn't start with a shop. They started with a trailer. R & M Garage began as a mobile repair business, traveling all over the DFW area to repair Oncor fleet vehicles wherever they sat — parking lots, yards, and job sites.
That work did what good work does: it got talked about. The mobile calls turned into a home shop where folks could bring their own trucks, cars, and SUVs. Ronnie retired in 2023. Today, Brian and his wife run R & M Garage together, carrying on the family tradition.
Brian earned many certificates of achievement and specialty training across all areas of automotive repair along the way, including Ford Master Technician recognition — and he's proud of what he's accomplished. What he's proudest of is simpler: the customers who keep coming back and the ones who send their kids to us.
What we believe
We'll show you the part we took off. We'll tell you when a repair can wait and when it truly can't. And we'll answer the phone when you call back.
Brian knows your truck by name — and he knows what it sounded like last time you were in.
The way we run the shopThe timeline
The early years
Brian started turning wrenches in trade school and never stopped. He and his dad Ronnie worked on vehicles side by side for more than 25 years — weekends, evenings, and every chance they got.
March 1, 2016
Ronnie and Brian opened R & M Garage as a mobile repair business, working out of a trailer and driving all over DFW to keep Oncor fleet vehicles on the road.
The shop years
The mobile work kept growing, and so did the list of folks who wanted somewhere to bring their own trucks. R & M Garage put down roots in a shop of its own.
2023
After a lifetime of turning wrenches, Ronnie hung up his tools. His standards are still on the wall and in every job that leaves the bay.
Today
Brian and his wife run R & M Garage together, carrying on the family tradition: honest work, fair prices, and a handshake that means something.
Family owned, family run, and happy to talk trucks. We'll take a look and tell you straight.
Services
From a check engine light to a full engine replacement — here's what we take care of every day.

The cheapest insurance there is. We look over the whole vehicle, not just the drain plug.

We cut our teeth keeping Oncor fleet trucks on the road across DFW. Scheduled service, one invoice, less downtime.

Shocks, ball joints, tie rods, steering components and the odd noise you can't quite place.
Not on the list?
If it has an engine and four wheels, we've likely had our hands on one. Give us a call and we'll tell you straight whether it's our kind of job.
Call the shop and we'll get your vehicle on the schedule.
Certifications & training
Certificates don't fix trucks — but they mean the person under the hood has been trained the right way, by the people who built it.

The one on the wall
Master Technician recognition is earned through factory training and testing across the full range of Ford systems — engine, driveline, electrical, brakes, climate and diagnostics. It means your truck is in the hands of someone the manufacturer considers a specialist, not a generalist with a scan tool.

The rest of the wall
Over the years Brian has earned certificates of achievement and completed specialty training across all areas of automotive repair. They hang in the shop, and he's proud of every one of them.
What that means for you
Factory-level training and testing, earned the long way — one certification at a time.
A wall of them, covering the many areas of automotive repair Brian has trained in over the years.
Diesel diagnostics, engine work, brakes, A/C, suspension and steering — not one narrow lane.
Certificates open doors. Twenty-five years of real vehicles is what makes the diagnosis stick.
The certificate wall
The framed certificates and the Master Technician award are in the front room. Stop in any time the shop is open.

Give us a call and tell us what your vehicle is doing. We'll take it from there.
